English Lyrics:

Our Beloved Appeared (Tallou Hbabna)
Lyrics: Zaki Nassif
Composer: Zaki Nassif

Our beloved appeared;
so let the breeze of my country blow gently.
They settled in our lands; the valley's flowers laughed.
We sang in the shadow and met near the water;
The chanting bird on our branches won't forget us.
We are stories in its mind, and from us come the tones of its melodies.
When it likes the breeze, it chants between the trees.
From above our brown mountains, the dawn rose chatting with us.
In our green fields, roses started confiding in us.
The birds, on both sides, narrate the stories of the roads.
From far, we sang the cameleer's song,
telling him about a new love,
Pointing to him the tender brunettes,
and making him drink the feast wine.
